CASE STUDY

IT HAD TO LOOK CLASSIC...

Columbia's Business School is one of the top ten in the world. So when they decided to present their new Dean to the world, we knew it needed to be special. "It has to look classic" was the brief.

We took inspiration from the instantly recognizable '60 Minutes' look — and designed an intimate low-lit chat nested inside a large wood-paneled room.

It's all in the preparation...
Making a simple interview set-up look good is all about the details. The positioning of four cameras, the placement of furniture and background decorative elements, the nuances of lighting… it all matters, and it all takes time to get it right.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

After 5 hours of preparation, the set-up was perfect and we were able to roll the minute our time-poor interviewee sat down. As always, hard work paid off… the client was delighted with the images.

Interviewing Associate Dean Al Smith
What the client said
This is really terrific and you guys worked your magic once again. It looks smooth, smart, savvy, and a host of other positive words that begin with the letter "s." The adage 'you only get one chance to make a first impression' is more true today than ever, and ModernEpic helped ensure our new Dean made a strong first impression.
